Bidex Cashback — Privacy Policy / นโยบายความเป็นส่วนตัว

1. What this extension is

Bidex Cashback lets you activate cashback on participating stores (v1.0: eBay). When you activate and complete a purchase, and the store confirms it, cashback is credited to your Bidex account as store credit. Bidex may earn an affiliate commission on your purchase, at no extra cost to you. Cash-back is not guaranteed.

2. What the extension accesses, and what leaves your device

The extension talks to one place — Bidex's own servers — and to nowhere else. It contains no analytics, no advertising SDK, and no third-party trackers. (Verified in src/lib/api.js: every network request goes to the Bidex API base and nowhere else.)

2b. Kept only on your device — never sent to Bidex or anyone else

To make the badge work, the extension keeps a little state in your browser's session storage. It is never transmitted, and it is cleared when you close the browser.

3. What the extension does NOT do

• It does not collect your general browsing history. It runs only on the supported store's pages (eBay) — see Permissions below.
• It does not sell or rent your data. The only thing that reaches the store's affiliate network is a single opaque identifier for that one click — never your name, your email, or your Bidex account id. Bidex can match that identifier back to your account in order to credit you; the store and its network cannot.
• It does not embed any analytics or advertising code.
• Affiliate/tracking identifiers are added by Bidex's server during the redirect — they are not present in the extension. (Enforced by an automated check in the build.)
• It does not inject over another cashback tool's session. If it detects that another cashback extension is already active on the page, it steps aside. (src/content/content.js)

4. Permissions we request, and why

• storage — to hold your session tokens, a cached copy of the participating-store list, the on-device records described in §2b, and internal state used to keep your session secure. All of it stays on your device.
• Host access — limited to the supported store (https://*.ebay.com/*) and the Bidex API (https://api.bidexth.com/*). The extension deliberately does not request access to all websites. It does not run on sign-in, cart, checkout, or payment pages of the store.

5. Where your data is processed

Only on servers operated by BIDEXPLUS COMPANY LIMITED. When you activate cashback, Bidex's server performs the affiliate redirect to the store's affiliate network; that network records the click so your purchase can be attributed. The extension itself never contacts the affiliate network directly. No identifier of you personally is ever placed in the link handed to the store — the link carries only the opaque per-click identifier described in §3. This is enforced on Bidex's server, not in the extension.

6. Retention

Bidex keeps each kind of record only as long as it has a purpose. The periods below follow Bidex's data-retention standard (STD-RET-001); the standard governs, and this section restates it for the data this extension is involved in.

• On your device (§2b) — cleared when you close the browser, and removed entirely when you uninstall the extension. Nothing here is a server-side record.
• Session tokens — held until you sign out or close the browser.
• An activation that did not lead to a purchase — the click record described in §2 is kept for 120 days, then purged. It has no purpose after that: no purchase can still be reported against it.
• An activation that led to a purchase and a cashback credit — kept for 7 years, as part of the accounting record of money paid to you. This is the same period Bidex applies to its other financial records.
• Your account and cashback balance — governed by the main Bidex Privacy Policy. If you close your account voluntarily, your data is purged after a 60-day grace period, except for records that must be kept for the financial reasons above. A deletion request you make under your PDPA rights (§7) is handled on the timeline the law requires, which may be shorter than that grace period.

7. Your rights (PDPA, Thailand)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint. Contact legal@bidexth.com.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change and, for material changes, we will notify you in the extension or on the Bidex website.
